a passionate adventurer, he has participated in four editions of the Iditarod Trail Invitation in Alaska, a self supported winter ultramarathon.

Gavan Hennigan
Gavan is originally from Galway, Ireland, and has lived in Les Houches-Chamonix for eight years. He works as a commercial diver in the oil and gas industry four to six months a year.
A passionate adventurer, he has participated in four editions of the Iditarod Trail Invitational in Alaska, a self supported winter ultramarathon. He finished first on foot in 2020 on the 350-miles course and in 2024 on the 1000-miles course. He also took part in the race this winter, covering the entire route between Knik Lake and Nome, a distance of 1609 kilometers, in just over 30 days.
In 2017, he rowed solo 5000km across the Atlantic ocean in 49 days, as part of the Talisker Atlantic Challenge, now called The Worlds Tougher Row.
Gavan also completed the Arctic 6633 Ultra (350 miles), the Yukon Arctic Ultra (300 miles), as well as the solo and unsupported crossing of Lake Baikal, in Siberia, Russia, on foot, in 17 days covering 450 km. A passionate trail runner, recently returned from Alaska, he is training for the UTMB Walserwaeg 120k, in Aosta, Italy.

Jamie, Ewan & Lachlan Maclean
Ewan, Jamie, and Lachlan Maclean are three Scottish brothers who grew up with a shared love of adventure. In 2019, they rowed over 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean – from the Canary Islands to Antigua – completing the crossing in 35 days and setting the fastest known time for a trio.
The experience left a mark. In April 2025, they set off to row across the full Pacific Ocean: 9,750 miles non-stop and unsupported. In doing so, they broke multiple world records and became the fastest ever to do so in 139 days rowing from Lima, Peru to Cairns, Australia. The journey was rarely straightforward. Tropical storms, seasickness, dwindling food supplies, and a man-overboard incident all tested them along the way.
Through the challenge and their foundation they raised over £1 million for clean water projects in Madagascar, enough to bring access to safe drinking water to more than 40,000 people.
Their message is a straightforward one: that ordinary people are capable of extraordinary things, and that you can help yourself in life by helping others. Having returned from the Pacific, they’re now working on a book. For the Macleans, the rowing has always been a means to an end – a way of creating impact while doing something they love.
The brothers’ interests show their curiosity at the world. They are passionate musicians, trail runners, gardeners, sauna builders and cooks; they love healthy food and meeting new people.
